Kolkata/Hyderabad, june 7 (Maxim News): Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has announced that the Kolkata metro Railway system in Bengal will be completely modernized. Speaking to the media on this occasion, Ashwini Vaishnav said that with the double engine government in Bengal, all the pending railway projects will run faster.
He explained that in the last 42 years, only 28 km of Kolkata metro network has been completed, but a record 45 km of new metro lines have been made available since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014. He clarified that their goal is to provide world-class facilities to passengers. However, he alleged that many key projects were delayed due to lack of proper cooperation from the previous ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) government. (Maxim News)
