Chilkalguda Police Crack Robbery Case, Three Arrested

Hyderabad, July 1 (Maxim News): The Chilkalguda Police arrested three accused and apprehended a juvenile in connection with a robbery case, while exposing an organised property crime network allegedly led by a habitual interstate offender involved in 65 criminal cases across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
The accused were arrested on June 30 in connection with a robbery registered under Crime No. 311/2026. Police recovered the robbed Redmi A3X mobile phone, the scooter used in the offence, and cash worth Rs. 2.25 lakh linked to another theft case.
According to police, the robbery took place on June 22 when labourer C. Raj Kumar was returning after purchasing food near Flora Hotel in Bhoiguda. Four persons allegedly intercepted him on a Honda Activa scooter, assaulted him, robbed his Redmi A3X mobile phone and Rs. 6,000 in cash, and later abandoned him near the Alugaddabavi Railway Under Bridge after threatening him.
Following the registration of the case, the Chilkalguda Police conducted a detailed investigation using field enquiries, surveillance and technical evidence to identify and arrest the accused.
Police identified the prime accused as Darla Nehemiah alias Brucelee (30), an alleged habitual property offender and the mastermind behind the gang. Investigators said he has 65 criminal cases against him, including robbery, house burglary, theft, murder and attempted murder across three states. He was previously detained under the Preventive Detention Act.
Police alleged that Brucelee recruited offenders while lodged in prison and formed organised gangs after their release to commit robberies and burglaries. After being released from Chanchalguda Central Prison in June 2026, he allegedly formed a gang with Dara Ashwanth (27), Nithin Francis alias Bablu (22) and a juvenile before committing the Bhoiguda robbery.
The investigation also revealed that Brucelee allegedly committed another robbery in Anantapur before the present case. Police further linked him to an attempted house break-in under Alwal Police Station limits and a house theft case under Meerpet Police Station, where his arrest was pending.
Ashwanth, who has four previous criminal cases, allegedly assisted in the robbery, while Nithin Francis, previously booked in attempt to murder and POCSO cases, allegedly participated in the offence.
The apprehended juvenile was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, while the three accused were remanded to judicial custody by the X Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Secunderabad.
