New Delhi, July 1: Vice Admiral K Srinivas, Director General, Naval Projects, Visakhapatnam, has been conferred the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) by President Droupadi Murmu in recognition of his distinguished service of an exceptional order to the nation.
The honour was presented in recognition of Vice Admiral Srinivas’ outstanding contribution to the Indian Navy and his long-standing service in strengthening the country’s maritime capabilities.
Vice Admiral K Srinivas assumed charge as the Director General, Naval Projects, Visakhapatnam, on November 1, 2025, after serving as the Admiral Superintendent of the Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam.
Commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1990, he is an alumnus of Sainik School, Korukonda, and the National Defence Academy.
During his naval career spanning more than 35 years, Vice Admiral Srinivas has held several important operational, technical and strategic assignments. He has played a key role in enhancing the Indian Navy’s operational readiness and supporting the development of critical naval infrastructure.
The Ati Vishisht Seva Medal is one of India’s highest peacetime military decorations and is awarded for distinguished service of an exceptional order.
