Hyderabad, July 22: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Wednesday criticised Booth Level Officers (BLOs), alleging that some officials were not performing their duties despite receiving salaries. He also expressed concern over the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Kodangal.
The Chief Minister made the remarks while addressing a protest at Ambedkar Chowrasta in Kodangal against the arrest of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Delhi.
Revanth Reddy Raises SIR Registration Concerns
Revanth Reddy alleged that some government officials were not carrying out their responsibilities even though they continued to receive their salaries.
He said he was working long hours but claimed there were attempts to divert his attention from governance.
Referring to the ongoing SIR registration process in Kodangal, the Chief Minister said the registration figures were a matter of concern. He claimed that around 78 percent of eligible voters had been registered, while 22 percent were yet to be covered.
The Chief Minister further alleged that there was a conspiracy to remove Congress supporters from the voter list and said such developments could affect the electoral process. However, he did not present evidence to support the allegation.
