Hyderabad, July 29: The NEET paper leak CBI chargesheet was taken on record by a designated fast track court in Delhi on Wednesday in connection with the alleged NEET UG 2026 paper leak case. The court also granted the Central Bureau of Investigation time to file annexures to the chargesheet.
Special Judge Anu Grover Baliga accepted the agency’s final report against 13 accused and listed the matter for further proceedings on August 3.
The CBI informed the court that nearly 20,000 pages of annexures are currently being scanned. The agency said the documents would be submitted within three days.
The court granted the request and directed that the annexures be filed before the next hearing.
According to officials, the CBI on Tuesday filed its chargesheet against 13 accused, including three alleged paper experts, two persons linked to coaching centres, middlemen and several beneficiary candidates.
The agency invoked charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including criminal conspiracy, cheating, criminal breach of trust and destruction of evidence. It also invoked provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
Meanwhile, advocates V. K. Pathak and Arjun Anand have been appointed as public prosecutors for the CBI in the case following directions issued by the court.
The case will next come up for hearing on August 3.
