The 2nd Test day produced a dramatic start at the Great Barrier Reef Arena. A total of 13 wickets fell during the morning and post lunch sessions.

2nd Test | Starc Tears Through Bangladesh Batting

Mitchell Starc produced a devastating spell with the new ball. The left arm pacer claimed six wickets for 12 runs from 10 overs.

Starc’s spell reduced Bangladesh to 64 all out in only 34 overs. He also took five wickets from 22 balls, recording the sixth fastest five wicket haul in Test cricket.

Starc already holds the record for the fastest five wicket haul. He reached that mark in only 15 balls against the West Indies in Kingston last year.

Cummins won the toss and chose to bowl on a bouncy surface. The pitch carried characteristics similar to a typical Gabba wicket.
