Bhatti Vikramarka Eyes Joint Venture Between Singareni and Hutti Gold Mines

Hyderabad, August 28: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has directed Singareni officials to explore a joint venture with Karnataka’s Hutti Gold Mines. The proposed partnership aims to combine expertise in gold mining, mineral exploration and processing.

Bhatti Vikramarka issued the direction during his visit to the Hutti and UTI gold mines in Raichur district. He inspected operations covering mineral extraction, processing and refining.

He asked officials to prepare an action plan for cooperation between Singareni and Hutti Gold Mines. The plan should cover gold exploration, mining, processing, refining and modern technology.

The Deputy Chief Minister also highlighted the need for expert services and human resource training. He said cooperation between the two public sector organisations could strengthen domestic gold production.

Bhatti Vikramarka said Hutti Gold Mines has extensive experience in gold mining. At the same time, Singareni has expertise in mineral exploration and mining operations.

Therefore, combining the strengths of both organisations could support higher gold production in India. He also stressed the importance of reducing dependence on imported gold.

According to the Deputy Chief Minister, gold holds strategic importance for the country’s economic security. Hence, India needs to expand domestic exploration and production.

The proposed Hutti and Singareni partnership could also help introduce advanced mining technologies. In addition, the cooperation could create new employment opportunities and support economic growth.

During his visit, Bhatti Vikramarka studied the processes involved from ore extraction to the production of refined gold. He also reviewed the use of technology and specialised expertise in mining operations.

The proposal could provide Singareni with an opportunity to expand beyond its traditional mining activities. Meanwhile, Hutti Gold Mines could contribute its specialised experience in gold exploration and production.

The officials were asked to examine the partnership model and identify areas where both organisations can work together. These areas include exploration, excavation, mineral processing, refining, technology adoption and workforce development.

Singareni CMD Dr Buddha Prakash Jyoti, Director Venkateshwarlu and General Manager Pankaj Kuleshrestha accompanied the Deputy Chief Minister during the visit. Senior officials from Hutti Gold Mines also participated in the programme.

The two organisations will now need to examine the feasibility and structure of the proposed collaboration. Further decisions will depend on the outcome of that exercise.
