In its announcement, AIMIM said Mubeen would oversee party organisational activities in the Rajendranagar Assembly Constituency. The party asked local leaders and members to communicate with him regarding organisational work.
Reacting to the appointment, Mubeen expressed gratitude to AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi and Telangana Assembly floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi.
The appointment comes a day after AIMIM expelled Legislative Council member Mirza Rahmath Baig from the party.
AIMIM announced Baig’s expulsion on August 29 with immediate effect. The party also directed him to resign from his position as a member of the Telangana Legislative Council.
Mubeen, who represents Bahadurpura in the Telangana Assembly, will now take charge of organisational activities in Rajendranagar. The appointment assumes significance as the party reorganises its local leadership and strengthens its organisational structure in the constituency.
