Hyderabad: An unidentified youth, believed to be around 18 years old, died under suspicious circumstances during a Ganesh idol procession at Ram Nagar crossroads on Saturday night.
The incident occurred within the limits of the Musheerabad Police Station. The procession was organised by the Ram Nagar Sri Ganapati Youth Association and drew a large gathering of devotees and local residents.
According to police, the exact circumstances surrounding the youth’s death remain unclear. Investigators are examining whether he suffered a cardiac arrest or collapsed amid the heavy crowd and commotion during the procession.

The youth was immediately shifted to Gandhi Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
A police official said the exact cause of death would be established after the investigation and based on the doctor’s opinion.
Police are also working to establish the identity of the deceased. His identity had not been confirmed when the latest reports were received.
The Musheerabad police have launched an investigation into the incident.
