Sangareddy, Sept. 17: Fifteen students fell ill after eating biryani at a government school in Sangareddy district on Thursday.
The incident occurred at ZPHS in Peddalodi village of Munipalli mandal.
According to school staff, Vice Principal Venkateshwarlu brought biryani for the students during lunch.
The students and the vice principal ate the food together during the afternoon.
Soon after the meal, several students and Venkateshwarlu reportedly fell ill.
Food Poisoning Suspected After School Lunch
The school staff immediately shifted the affected students to Sadasivpet Government Hospital.
Doctors treated the students at the hospital, where they are currently under observation.
Meanwhile, doctors reportedly found Venkateshwarlu’s condition serious and shifted him to Sangareddy Government Hospital.
The students’ parents rushed to the hospital after learning about the incident.
They expressed concern over their children’s condition and remained at the hospital during treatment.
Authorities are expected to ascertain the cause of the illness. The reported food poisoning concern has not yet been confirmed by officials.
