Hyderabad, Sept. 28: Hyderabad shooter Esha Singh won a silver medal in the women’s 25m pistol individual event at the 2026 Asian Games. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy congratulated her on the achievement.
The Chief Minister praised Esha’s performance and fighting spirit. He also wished her success in future international competitions.
Esha Singh Misses Gold in Dramatic Shoot-Off
Esha fought for the gold medal against China’s Xiao in a closely contested final. She lost the gold medal shoot-off by 2-3 and secured silver.
According to the report, Esha faced multiple shoot-offs during the final. She remained in contention for gold until the final stages but missed the top position by a single shot.
Revanth Reddy expressed happiness over her performance. He said her determination under pressure offered an example for aspiring sportspersons.
The Chief Minister also wished Esha more international victories. He said her achievements would bring recognition to Telangana and India.
