Gadwal, Oct. 3: A woman was allegedly killed by her husband with a pestle following an altercation at Obulonipalli village in Dharur mandal of Jogulamba Gadwal district on Saturday, police said.
The victim was identified as Jammulamma. Her husband, Gopi, allegedly attacked her with a pestle during an altercation, causing severe injuries. She died following the attack, according to preliminary reports.
Police reached the village after receiving information about the incident and inspected the scene. A murder case was registered and an investigation was launched.
Police Probe Circumstances Behind Gadwal Killing
Preliminary reports indicate that the couple had been quarrelling over petty issues in the days before the incident. However, police are investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal attack and have not yet established the exact motive.
