New Delhi, Oct. 10: BJP MP Sambit Patra has described the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi as a complete flop. He alleged that opposition leaders attempted to hold the national capital hostage in the name of protest.
Patra made the remarks following the detention or arrest of several politicians and hundreds of young protesters who gathered on Saturday. He said attempts to undermine democracy through mob rule had failed.
Sambit Patra Targets Rahul Gandhi Over Protest
The Lok Sabha MP accused Rahul Gandhi of creating anarchy in the country by allegedly joining hands with foreign forces. He also criticised Gandhi’s remarks about alleged vote rigging following his meeting with President Droupadi Murmu on Friday.

Patra called Gandhi “Nalayak” and questioned his statements about the allegations. He added that scenes shown on television and social media did not reflect the country’s actual situation.
The BJP MP said India was progressing under conditions of peace and good governance. He further claimed that attempts to provoke violence during the protest had failed and that the situation remained under control
