Telangana Waqf Board Faces Criticism Over Property Litigation

Telangana Waqf Board | Hyderabad, Oct. 10: The Telangana State Waqf Board has faced criticism over its handling of property litigation, with community representatives raising concerns about legal expertise, case monitoring and the lack of regular Board meetings.

Syed Ali Jaffery, a High Court advocate and community leader, called for scrutiny of allegations that lawyers representing the Board were also handling cases for parties involved in Waqf land disputes through their juniors and associates. He said potential conflicts of interest needed to be examined to protect the Board’s interests.
