Ravi Kishan | Hyderabad, Oct. 13: BJP MP Ravi Kishan criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the Opposition’s protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Kishan accused Gandhi of politicising election-related concerns and made personal remarks against him.
Speaking to reporters in Chhattisgarh, Kishan alleged that Opposition parties were resorting to confrontations because they could not defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP electorally. He also referred to a reported clash in Uttar Pradesh involving shoes and slippers during a dispute over the state party president.
Kishan further accused the Congress of disrupting public life through protests in Delhi. He said traffic disruptions could inconvenience people travelling in ambulances and those trying to reach work.

Kishan also questioned the Opposition’s allegations about electronic voting machines (EVMs) and electoral processes. He argued that Congress leaders raised concerns when they lost elections but did not make similar complaints when they won.

The BJP MP defended the electoral process and accused the Opposition of politicising the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Meanwhile, Opposition leaders have raised concerns about the SIR exercise and alleged irregularities in electoral rolls. The BJP has defended the process and rejected the Opposition’s criticism.
Earlier, INDIA bloc leaders sought an appointment with Chief Justice of India Surya Kant to discuss their concerns. The CJI declined the request and advised them to approach the court through a petition under established legal procedures.
Following the decision, Rahul Gandhi led an INDIA bloc protest march towards the Supreme Court on Monday.
