Mancherial/HyderaBAD, oCT 24 (Maxim News): Unidentified persons allegedly broke into Congress leader Ankati Srinivas’s house and vandalised property in Venkatraopet village, Mancherial district, on Friday night.
According to reports, the attackers broke the lock to enter the house. They damaged the window panes of a car and a television inside the premises.
Srinivas and his family members were not at home when the incident occurred. Police visited the scene and launched an investigation to identify those responsible.
Attack Follows Political Tensions in Mancherial Congress
Earlier on Friday, Srinivas reiterated his support for local MLA Kokkirala Premsagar Rao. His statement came amid speculation that he had joined the faction led by Congress leader M. Jaganmohan Rao.
Srinivas had also alleged that Jaganmohan Rao’s followers kidnapped him after offering him liquor. He reportedly lodged a complaint with the police over the alleged abduction.
However, no connection between the earlier allegations and the attack on his house has been established. Police are investigating the latest incident, and further details are awaited.
