Heavy inflows triggered by Cyclone Murasu created a flood emergency in the area. The minister appreciated the teams for their dedication and presence of mind during the operation.
He also praised district collectors, police, revenue officials and other departments for their coordinated efforts. Their efforts helped rescue everyone trapped in the floodwaters without any loss of life.

On Wednesday night, 11 people were caught in surging floodwaters after a boat capsized during an operation to rescue stranded fishermen near Bethupally tank.
Khammam Collector T.S. Divakara, the Superintendent of Police and officials from various departments coordinated the rescue efforts.
SDRF and NDRF teams worked under difficult conditions and brought everyone to safety. Ponguleti appreciated their timely response and successful operation.
