Avoid beef slaughter on Eid-ul-Azha: Muslim Bodies
Hyderabad: Religious scholars and clerics of various organisations of the city passed a resolution to avoid beef cattle sacrifice on the occasion of ensuing Eid-ul-Azha festival so that peace could be ensured in Telangana. The scholars urged Muslims to avoid beef cattle sacrifice and also advised madrasas which arranges sacrifice to ensure slaughter of sheep and goat.
In a meeting held at Urdu Ghar Moghalpura it was decided that except cow all animal sacrifice is permissible but keeping in view the present volatile situation of the country, precaution should be taken so that mischief mongers would not get a chance.
Maulana Hamed Mohammed Khan, President Jamat-e-Islami Telangana and Orissa, Maulana Mufti Sadiq Mohiuddin, Maulana Mufti Abrarul Hasan, Maulana Shah Mohammed Fasihuddin Nizami, Dr. Asif Umri, Mr. Mohammed Azharuddin, Mr. Mohammed Farooq, Maulana Habeeb Ahmed Qasmi and others were present on the occasion.
The scholars expressed concern over incidences of violence continued in the country in the name of Gau Raksha. It was clarified in the resolution that the decision has not been taken due to fear or intimidation but to maintain peace in the state and country.
