Hyderabad, March 25 (Maxim News): Nominations in two Telugu States today came to a halt for the upcoming general elections across the country and Lok Sabha polls in Telangana State. A good number of leaders from various political parties have filed their nominations in their respective segments. The Election officials will scrutinize the nominations on March 26 and withdrawals will end on March 28. The elections in two Telugu States would be held on April 11 and the results will be announced on May 23.
TRS leaders came in rallies with their party activists in large numbers to file nominations in the segments. Telangana will see the polls for 17 MP seats and in Andhra Pradesh for 175 Assembly seats and 25 MP seats on April 11.
In Telangana State, the TRS has fielded its candidates in 16 Lok Sabha seats and the Congress and the BJP fielded candidates of their choice. In Andhra Pradesh, the ruling TDP is in fray for all seats and the opposition YSRCP is contesting all giving a tough fight to the ruling party. The Congress, BJP and Jana Sena are also in the poll fray in AP. (Maxim News)
