Hyderabad, April 28 (Maxim News): BJP State president K Lakshman will take up indefinite fast at party office from April 29 in protest against Inter results row and failure of the State government.
This was informed by BJP national general secretary Muralidhar Rao here at a press conference in the party office along with former Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya. Lakshman’s protest will continue until the government came up factual report, he said. He also accused the State government of failing to conduct the Intermediate exams in a fool proof manner. Rao also charged the government with not taking steps against the BIE officials and Globalrena agency, which caused malpractices in the results that compelled about 20 students to end their lives.
“This State government was ignoring rules and did not respond on the issue of suicides and results row so far, he fumed. He also asked the government as to why it was trying to protect some of the culprits involved in the Inter results fiasco. Who was behind the tenders offered to Globalrena should be informed to people”, he demanded. He also alleged that there was a political and unseen force behind the episode which has to be disclosed. Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy is only Education Minister for namesake and he has no powers, he alleged.
Dattatreya demanded stern action against Globarena and involve those behind it for the results failure and lapses that led to suicides by the students. The committee report was not proper and the BJP will take up protests until the facts come out he warned. He appealed to people to support BJP’s protest from Monday and to press the government. He expressed concern saying that Bangaru Telangana has now become “Balula” (sacrifices) Telangana. (Maxim News)
