Hyderabad, May 19 (Maxim News): Adi-Hindu Social Service League will be conducting 131st birth Anniversary celebrations of Bhagya Reddy Varma, a prominent social reformer, who spared no efforts for educating Dalits, on May 22 at Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium here.
Releasing a brochure on the function here on Sunday, League executive president D Balanarasimha, Bhagya Reddy Varma grandson and secretary M Ajay Gautam and Leagu Managing trustee B N Gnanprakash said “Father of Dalit Movement in Andhra Pradesh” Bhagya Reddy Varma established some 26 schools in Hyderabad region for the Dalits. They said Koppula Eshwar, Welfare Minister will be the chief guest. Government advisor A. Ram Laxman, Education Secretary Dr B. Janardhan Reddy, MLAs and others are expected to attend the program.
