Jagan’s Directions To Officials On Boat Tragedy

Amaravati, Sept.15 (Maxim News): Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took serious view of the boat tragedy that took place at Katchaluru in Devipatnam Mandal today. He spoke to the officials concerned and got the details of the tragedy. He has directed the officials to take immediate rescue and relief measures and also directed them to stop all boat services with immediate effect, and to take the services of Navy and ONGC helicopters.

Jagan also directed the Ministers nearby to proceed to the accident site. The chief Minister spoke to the District collector of East Godavari and asked him to take immediate relief measures. He asked the District Collector and officials to examine whether the boats are safe for travel or not and also the licenses for boats and the boat drivers. See whether saferty measures were there in the boats. He directed the officials to evolve effective guidelines for boat travel and send the same to him. (Maxim News)
