Amaravati, Dec.31 (Maxim News): Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday urged the AP police to not book cases against the agitating farmers from the State capital Amaravati.
Speaking to mediapersons here during his tour to the State capital, Pawan extended his party’s total support to the ongoing farmers’ agitation demanding that the State government to not shift the capital from Amaravathi. Pawan said as the farmers had given their valuable lands to the State government for building the State capital, they have every right to protest against the decision of the State government.
The Jana Sena chief asked the State government to concede the demands of the agitating farmers and tenant farmers. He also asked the police to not book any cases against the farmers at the behest of the ruling party. Pointing out that the ruling party has only 151 MLAs, he said the State government could collapse any time. He also warned that no government lasted for long for harassing the farmers in the history of the State and the country. (Maxim News)
