EFLU To Stop Face To Face Teaching And Switch On To Online Teachings
Hyderabad, March 19 (Maxim News): English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) has been closely and diligently following instructions of Government in addressing the Coronavirus (COVID-19) issue.
Prof. E. Suresh Kumar, Vice Chancellor, EFLU, in a recent meeting with Deans, Teachers and Administrative Officers emphasised that the top priority is the health, safety, and well-being of the students and staff of the University. The University is well prepared for any contingency situations and has taken informed actions to limit the spread of COVID-19 while ensuring the continuity of teaching and research.
EFLU stopped face-to-face teaching sessions from 16 March 2020 and has started online teaching from 19 March 2020. In line with this, a Ph.D. viva-voce examination in the Department of Linguistics and Contemporary English was conducted today morning. The external examiner Prof. Shreesh Chaudhary, retired professor from IIT Madras, now living in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, conducted the exam via Google Meet. The examinee, Ms.Tanushree Sarkar,her supervisor Prof.HemalathaNagarajan, and some members of teaching faculty were present during the viva.
Prof. E. Suresh Kumarcongratulated the scholar, the supervisor and the examiner for successfully conducting the Ph.D. viva-voce examination online for the first time in the history of The English and Foreign Languages University. (Maxim News)
