Kodanda Slams Govt On Farm Loan Waiver Scheme

Hyderabad, March 19 (Maxim News): All India Kisan Congress Cell national vice president M. Kodanda Reddy said TRS government had broken backs of eligible farmers of farm loan waiver scheme.

Talking to the media here on Thursday, Kodanda Reddy said several poor farmers lost eligibility under the scheme as they did not get their new patta pass books. He demanded that the State government implement the farm loan waiver scheme to all those farmers who did not have their pass books. He also said most of the farmers would not get any benefit from the scheme as the banks concerned had already collected interest from them during the last five years. He also demanded that the State government stand as a guarantor to all the loans availed by the farmers and waive off the loans in a single go like the Madhya Pradesh government. (Maxim News)
