Sajjanar observed that while people sometimes record videos on their mobile phones when others are in distress, the three men chose to intervene and help the child.
Their timely action gave the six-year-old another chance at life, he said, saluting their bravery.
The commissioner also stressed that parents facing serious challenges, including a child’s illness or financial difficulties, should never consider taking their children’s lives as a solution.
He urged people experiencing severe emotional distress or despair not to make irreversible decisions under pressure.
Instead, he encouraged those facing difficult circumstances to seek help from others and turn to the community for support, noting that people are often willing to help those in need. Emphasising the value of human life, Sajjanar said that nothing is more precious than life.
His message highlighted both the courage displayed by the three rescuers and the importance of seeking support during times of personal crisis.
The recognition of Fakhruddin, Balakrishna and Mohammed Afsar highlights the importance of responding promptly when someone is in danger and putting humanity into action. (Maxim News)
