COVID-19: Telangana Records 1863 Cases, 10 Deaths
Hyderabad: Telangana reported 1863 new Covid-19 cases and 10 deaths till Friday night, taking the overall toll to 684 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 90,259. The total number of active cases as on Friday night in the State is 23,379.
Between Thursday and Friday night, 1912 persons in the State have recovered, pushing the overall number of recoveries in the State to 66, 196 with a recovery rate of 73.34 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 71.16 per cent. According to the health bulletin, the mortality in the State is 0.75 per cent while the countrywide figure is 1.95 per cent.
Out of the 23,379 active Covid positive patients, as many as 16,221 Covid-19 positive patients are under home isolation across the State while 7,158 positive cases are in institutional care.
The State health authorities conducted 21,239 Covid-19 tests till Friday night while results of 664 more swab samples are pending. So far, 7,32,435 swab samples have been tested in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic out of which 90,259 have tested positive and 66,196 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from all the districts include 18 from Adilabad, 36 from Bhadradri, 394 from areas under GHMC, 61 from Jagtiyal, 34 from Jangaon, 12 from Bupalapally, 58 from Gadwal, 31 from Kamareddy, 104 from Karimnagar, 76 from Khammam, 12 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 18 from Mahabubnagar, 14 from Mahabubabad, seven from Mancherial, 36 from Medak, 175 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 13 from Mulugu, 24 from Nagarkurnool, 49 from Nalgonda, five from Narayanpet, 28 from Nirmal, 39 from Nizamabad, 40 from Peddapally, 90 from Siricilla, 131 from Rangareddy, 81 from Sangareddy, 60 from Siddipet, 33 from Suryapet, 16 from Vikarabad, 26 from Wanaparthy, 41 from Warangal Rural, 101 from Warangal Urban and 15 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
