Security Tightened At State BJP Office, Party Leaders Restricted To Homes

Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar demanded the suspension of Siddipet Commissioner of police D Joel Davis alleging that he is acting according to the wishes of the ruling party.

Hyderabad: Police have tightened security at the State BJP office here on Tuesday following the incidents that occurred in Siddipet on Monday after cash was confiscated from a close relative of BJP candidate M Raghunandan Rao and the high drama that unfolded after that. On the other hand police have restricted party senior leaders to their homes all over the State, considering the call given by the party to protest against the alleged highhandedness of police against party State Chief and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

Meanwhile, Bandi Sanjay Kumar continued his Deeksha inside Karimnagar BJP party office. He was protesting against police who allegedly pushed him into a police van and moved him to Karimnagar from Siddipet. He demanded the suspension of Siddipet Commissioner of police D Joel Davis alleging that he is acting according to the wishes of the ruling party.

With the BJP activists resorting to burning effigies of the Chief Minister and even calling for a protest near the Chief Minister’s camp office, police have restricted the movement of MP Dharmapuri Arvind, former MP Vivek and MLC Ramachander Rao. State BJP also decided to meet the Chief Electoral Officer Shashank Goel and submit a memorandum against the Siddipet incident. Security at the Pragathi Bhavan was also tightened following the call given by the BJP.
