Coronavirus: Second Wave To End By July, Third Wave After 6 Months
The scientists used the SUTRA (Susceptible, Undetected, Tested(positive) and Remove Approach) model and predicted that the end of May will witness 1.5 lakh cases per day.
New Delhi, May 20: A three-member panel of scientists formed by the Department of Science and Technology under the Science Ministry of Government of India said that the second wave of Coronavirus expected to decline by July. The panel said that a third wave of the Covid-19 may the country in about six to eight months.
The scientists used the SUTRA (Susceptible, Undetected, Tested(positive) and Remove Approach) model and predicted that the end of May will witness 1.5 lakh cases per day. They reported that 20,000 cases will be reported by the end of June. Professor Agarwal said that it will be localised and many people will not get infected because of vaccination. He stated that there will not be a third wave till October 2021.
