MoU Between NIRDPR and CIPS

Hyderabad, Oct.6 (Maxim News): National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR), and Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS), Hyderabad an autonomous body in the campus of Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) have signed an MoU today.

Under the agreement, it was decided to work together in the field of Rural development and Rural transformation by jointly identifying areas of intervention and bring in innovative practices that have potential for replication, concentrate on transfer and adaptation of rural technologies, promote, familiarise, disseminate to the root level the various flagship programmes, to jointly take up the projects from Government of India and other agencies, exchange of knowledge and expertise of both the institutions with each other including exchange of resource persons, to work with regard to the aspects of Good Governance etc.

It is further decided to hold Regional, National level Workshops and Conferences and Training programmes on various subjects relevant for improving rural livelihoods and replication of innovative practices etc.

While the above are the areas of work in general to be carried on for the next three years it has been decided to commence the work immediately in respect of identifying the rural innovations and encourage innovators through the NIRDPR upcoming Rural Innovative Start-up Conclave besides to work on the Bamboo technologies, Fisheries technologies and Moringa cultivation and its value chain etc.

On behalf of NIRD&PR Dr. G.Narendra Kumar, , Director General, on behalf of CIPS, C. Achalendar Reddy, IFS (R), Director have signed the MoU in the presence of Dr G Venkata Raju, Professor, Dr. Ramesh Sakthivel, Associate Professor, Mr. Mohammad Khan, Senior Consultant, Manoj Kumar, Assistant Registrar,NIRD&PR and Dr. Fareed Ahmed, Advisor, CIPS, Vidya, Manager, Administration, CIPS.
