100 families to benefit Dalit Bandhu in 1st phase in Janagam Dist: Dayakar Rao

Hyderabad, Jan.24 (Maxim News): Panchayat Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao the TRS Government implements Dalit Bandhu to empower the SCs who have been lagging behind for decades. He said that in the first phase 100 families will be selected in the district to get them Rs 10 lakh each under the scheme. Dalit Bandhu is another big scheme after Rythu Nandhu in the state to be emulated by other states, he said.

Along with MLC Kadiam Srihari, MLAs Rajaiah, Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, Dayakar held a meeting with the officials at Janagam district with three Assembly segments.

The Minister instructed the officials concerned to follow procedures to select beneficiaries as per state government plans. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has planned to empower the Dalits in the state with the new scheme. This scheme is nowhere else in India and we get the credit to empower the SCs, he claimed. Dayakar Rao said that the government has plans to select 100 families in each of 118 assembly segments and officials should coordinate. Effective coordination among the departments will speed up the process to select the beneficiaries of Dalit Bandhu he said. The scheme is to benefit the Dalits without any bank linkage and related problems to go in for selected businesses, he said.

The Minister said that the Chief Minister has plans to empower Dalits in a phased manner. First KCR took Vasalamarri village to empower Dalits through the scheme being extended to Huzurabad segment, he said. Now the Chief Minister plans to extend the same to all segments in the state. We will see that the SC families will develop by opting for a particular business of their choice through Rs 10 lakh benefit, he hoped. Dayakar said that three districts in the segment will benefit as planned by offering them Rs 10 lakh each. He said that RDOs are appointed for three segments in the district and select the beneficiaries. RDOs in Janagam, Station Ghanpur and Palakurty segments will be monitoring the scheme, he said.

The Minister said that Station Ghnapur segment has Dalit 24209 houses with 84,530 population, Palakurty 19093 house with 67825 population and Janagam 17516 houses with 626260 population respectively. Together three segments have 60818 houses and a total of 2,14,615 population of Dalits. (Maxim News)
