Funds releasing regularly for local bodies: Dayakar

Hyderabad, Feb.23 (Maxim News): Panchayat Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao today said that the government is releasing Rs 227.5 cr grants every month for local bodies towards development programs. He informed in a press release that the government releases the funds for development on a regular basis. He announced that Rs 210.44 cr for villages, 11.37 cr for mandals and Rs 5.69 cr for zilla parishads.. The centre released Rs 682.5 cr in first phase and second phase funds are yet to be released. The minister criticised the opposition parties for talking against the government.

The minister said that the government is spending funds for development in villages, mandals and zilla parishads, he claimed. The minister claimed that the government is getting ready for releasing the second phase of funds. Though the Centre did not release the funds and expected the state government to release the funds, he clarified. Some parties are spreading lies on the development funds and release, he said. The minister asked the people not to believe such rumours being spread by the leaders of other parties with no work. Our schemes are meant for development and rural areas see a continuous growth, he said. (Maxim News)
