Govt healthcare schemes are encouraging private hospitals: Narsi reddy
Hyderabad, March 13 (Maxim News): MLC Narsi Reddy today said that government healthcare schemes like Arogyasri scheme of the state government and Ayushmann Bharat scheme of the union government were encouraging private hospitals in the state . He made these remarks while addressing a meeting held on the issue of protection of public health in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that they were holding the meeting to transform the state into a healthy telangana. He also said that their program was being held in association with 9 organisations. He made it clear it was impossible to extend healthcare services to the people without developing primary healthcare centres. Reddy said that the people would have access to the healthcare services only when the public health sector was improved . He praised that government hospital Gandhi hospital played an important role in the prevention of corona virus during the pandemic of the virus and added that scores of healthcare staff including doctors had served the people of the state by keeping their lives in danger .
He said that all the public representatives should avail their healthcare services only at the government hospitals. Stating that the state has 680 primary health care centres he urged the state government to appoint doctors at all these hospitals. He said that there was a need to set up a total of 1100 PHCs in the state to cater to four crore population of the state . He urged the state government authorities to solve the problem of historic Osmania general hospital . He condemned the attacks on the doctors of the state by some angered people and urged the state government to provide SPF security to the doctors of the state . Raising the issue of the fake doctors, He said that there was a need to solve the problems of the fake doctors. (Maxim News)
