Veteran Communist leader Mallu Swarajyam passes away

Veteran Communist leader, former MLA Mallu Swarajyam took her last breath at the age of 91 while undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Hyderabad.

According to the reports, Mallu Swarajyam was admitted to Care Hospital on March 2 due to pneumonia. Mallu Swarajyam was born in a feudal family in Thungaturthy Mandal in Suryapet in 1931 and she was attracted to communism at the age of 10 years after reading the novel written by Maxim Gorky.

She was elected as MLA from the Thungathurthy Assembly constituency in 1978 and 1983. All political party leaders and her followers are conveying condolences to her family members.
