Follow Good Food Habits: Kalvakuntla Kavitha

Hyderabad, April 23 (Maxim News): Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha today urged the people to follow good food habits for staying healthy.

Addressing a gathering at the Colon Cancer Awareness Initiative organised by AIG Hospital here on Saturday, the TRS MLC said as the world was witnessing a rise in the number of colon cancer cases, it is necessary for the treatment of the disease to be found at the earliest.

Emphasising the early diagnosis of the disease as a definite way to save lives, Kavitha affirmed the support of the State government and said, “We believe that common people should have access to health care at the least possible prices and they (hospitals) should have latest technologies to save lives.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the government is encouraging research and development initiatives across all sectors that have made Telangana a preferred choice for all.”

On the occasion, MLC Kavitha requested people to eat healthy, stay fit and be happy along with ensuring an early detection to live a healthy life.

The former MP also applauded the efforts of Dr Nageshwar Reddy and AIG Hospital for constantly progressing in the field of Reserach and rapid adaptations of modern solutions to medical problems.

She also said Colon Cancer differs country to country, especially in India where the food habits are different and hence it is significant that people stay fit, eat healthy food and ensure regular health check-ups.

“Colon Cancer is curable and early detection is the key to combat it,” she said. Kavitha also lauded the efforts of Telangana Government in terms of supporting and encouraging research and development initiatives across all sectors that has made Telangana a preferred choice for all and Hyderabad is the new medical hub of India.

The AIG hospital has launched a week-long program to create awareness regarding Colon cancer and its need for diagnosis. (Maxim News)
