Talasani inspects arrangements for Balkampet festival

Hyderabad, June 29 (Maxim News): Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav has inspected the ongoing arrangements for the celestial wedding of Balkampet Yellamma to be held on July 5.

The Minister on Wednesday launched a program that is making of a special saree, which is to be presented on the day of the celestial wedding to Goddess Yellamma, and inaugurated a new building constructed for the convenience of devotees at the cost of Rs.3.20 crore behind the temple.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said as part of the celestial wedding, Edurkollu will be held on July 4, Kalyanam on July 5, and Rathotsavam on July 6.

This time, arrangements are being made to telecast the celestial wedding through TV channels and 6 LED screens are set up at various places in the temple in a bid to watch a large number of people.

“About five lakh devotees are expected to visit the temple on the day of the celestial wedding. Facilities are being made to have a hassle-free darshan of the Goddesses Yellamma. Officials from various departments are involved in the program for the success of the celestial wedding,” Talasani said.

As per the security arrangements, the Minister said the CC cameras are being arranged at various locations to monitor the situation. Adequate number of police personnel will be deployed for the bandobast and separate passes are issued to volunteers.

Similarly, the mobile toilets will be set up on the premises of the temple and officials have been asked to ensure that there wouldn’t be any leakage of sewage lines, Talasani added. (Maxim News)
