Doctor Burnt Alive in Fire Mishap at Renigunta hospital

Renigunta, September 25: A doctor was charred to death in a fire accident in a private hospital in Renigunta on Sunday morning. The condition of his daughter and son is critical.

According to information, Dr. Ravisankar Reddy is running the ‘Kartikeya’ hospital at Bhagat Singh Colony in Renigunta. His family lives on the top floor in the same building.

On Sunday morning, suddenly fire broke out on the floor where the doctor’s family stays. Locals noticed this and rescued the doctor’s wife, mother-in-law, son Bharath (12), and daughter Kartika (15). But Dr. Ravisankar Reddy was burnt alive in the mishap. The children were rushed to the hospital and their condition was stated to be critical.

Tirupati fire fighting staff rushed to the spot and controlled the fire. Police suspect the fire broke out due to a short circuit. Major loss of lives was averted as there were no patients in the hospital at the time.
