Minister Visits Hospital to Enquire About Health of Injured Cricket Match
Hyderabad, Sept.25 (Maxim News): Sports Minister Srinivas Goud on Sunday visited a private hospital in the city where he enquired about the health condition of people who were injured during the stampede at Gymkhana Grounds in Secunderabad for the tickets for the Third T20 cricket match between India and Australia.
The Minister had spoken with the injured people- Ranjita, Sujatha, Alia Srikanth, Adityanath, and Sai Karthik and also enquired about the medical facilities being provided by the hospital.
On the occasion, he handed over the match tickets to them on behalf of the Sports Department and also asked the officials concerned to take the injured people to the stadium in a government vehicle to watch the match.
The Minister also appreciated a police constable who rescued a woman during the stampede and said that he has written a letter to DGP Mahender Reddy urging him to give an increment and promotion in her service.
He said the State government would conduct an inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the sale of match tickets and stringent action would be initiated against those who are found guilty. (Maxim News)
