Vanasthalipuram CI, his lover arrested

Hyderabad, Nov.4 (NSS): Vanasthalipuram Circle Inspector Raju was arrested by police with his lover. The arrests followed a complaint by his wife. Wife of the CI staged a dharna in front of the police station along with her children.

She lodged a complaint with the police stating that her husband was in an extra-marital relationship with a woman and demanded action against him. Following this, two police constables caught the CI with his lover in a car. They also found him in an inebriated condition. After seeing the police constables, the accused CI attacked the constables and abused them by stating that he is working in the Special Branch of Hyderabad Police Commissionerate.

The police constables lodged a complaint against the CI resulting in his arrest. The incident is the second one involving an officer of CI rank in the extra-marital affair.

Earlier, Marredpally police CI Nageswar Rao was also caught by the police following a complaint by a woman. The woman, along with her husband, lodged a complaint stating that the CI had threatened her with his service revolver and raped her. Rao was dismissed from service by the State government while the investigation was pending. (NSS)
