Nizam Built Stepwells Will Be Preserved: Talasani

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (Maxim News): Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Talasani Srinivas yadav who has inspected the renovated stepwell of Bansilal Peta said that the TRS government is committed to preserve the stepwells and ancient buildings built during the Nizam Rule will be preserve for the future generations.

The Minister said that the development work of Bansilal Peta stepwell has been taken with the special initiative of Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K.Tarak Rama Rao, he said that this well was built during the period of Nizam for the drinking water needs of the local people. He informed us that during those days, this well was known as Naganna Kunta. The well was completely filled with garbage before the development work was undertaken, when the silt was completely removed, it was more than 500 tons and it took 6 months to remove it. He said that the glory has come with the completion of the repair and renovation work of the stepwell. Moreover, many development and construction works have been undertaken in the vicinity of the well with the idea of making it a tourist spot.

Chief Principal Secretary to Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar, Zonal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, Sahe Charity Manager, Kalpana, Secunder Parliament Constituency Incharge Talasani Sai Kiran yadav, Corporators Hemalatha, Maheshwari, Ex-Corporator A.Arun Goud, SE anil raj, EE sudarshan, Water Works Gm Ramana Reddy, Electrical DE Sridhar and others were present.
