AK Khan tenure as advisor to minorities’ welfare extended
AK Khan| Hyderabad, Dec 23 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has extended the tenure of former IPS officer A K Khan, advisor to the Government of Minority Affairs for a further period of two years.
The Chief Secretary issued orders on Friday extending the tenure of A K Khan, advisor to the Government, minorities welfare department for a further period of two years beyond December 31, 2022.

It is to mention here that Abdul Khayyum Khan is an IPS officer and former Commissioner of Police of Hyderabad, India.
Khan introduced a rule that drunk drivers will be sent to jail with heavy penalties to curb alcoholism. Khan was the Director General of ACB in the newly formed Telangana State before retiring.
He was appointed as the Minorities Commission by the Government of Telangana in 2015. He currently serves as the Advisor to the Telangana State on minority affairs, a cabinet-rank post. (Maxim News)
