Hyderabad, Jan 10 (Maxim News):  In the wake of the High Court’s verdict, the Center has issued an order relieving Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar from Telangana and assigning him to Andhra Pradesh after removing him from the Telangana cadre.

It has been ordered that Somesh Kumar will report to Andhra Pradesh by the 12th of this month.  In the wake of the Centre’s orders, Somesh Kumar has to go to Andhra Pradesh.

It may be recalled that Somesh Kumar met Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao, and he discussed with the Chief Minister what to do in the wake of the High Court verdict.  At the time of the bifurcation of the state, IAs and IPS officers were also allotted to the two states by the DoPT.  AP Cadre allotted to Somesh Kumar.  But Somesh Kumar said that he will go to Telangana.  challenging his allotment to AP, he filed a petition in CAT.  After investigating this petition, CAT allowed Somesh Kumar to continue in  Telangana.  In 2017, the Center challenged the CAT verdict in the High Court.  The division bench headed by Chief Justice, which investigated the matter, ordered Somesh to go to the AP cadre.  (Maxim News)
