Resignations Of Councillors Continue Against The Kamareddy Master Plan

Kamareddy/Hyderabad, Jan 19 (Maxim News) Opposing the Kamareddy Master Plan, many public representatives are resigning in support of the farmers. Three councillors from BJP have resigned demanding the cancellation of the Kamareddy Master Plan.

BJP councillors Sutari Ravi and kasarla Srinivas resigned from the posts of Municipal Councillors, on the 17th of this month, and resignation letters were handed over to the farmers in old Rajampet village. Today the same resignation letters were submitted to the Municipal commissioner under the leadership of the members of the United Action Committee. They demanded that a resolution to cancel the master plan be introduced. It has been revealed that if the council meeting is not held before the day after tomorrow, the rest of the BJP Councillors will also resign on January 23. On the other hand, another BJP Councillor Gandla Sujatha announced that if the State government does not take a decision on the cancellation of the master plan by January 23, she will also resign from the post.

On the other hand, there is growing support for the farmers who are demanding the cancellation of the Kamareddy Master Plan. Four Congress Councillors resigned in support of farmers. Councillors handed over resignation papers to senior Congress leader and former minister Shabbir Ali. With BJP and Congress councillors resigning, the pressure is increasing on the councillors of the ruling party. BRS Councillors have decided to lay siege to MLA Gampa Govardhan’s house tomorrow.
