New Widow Pension Guidelines Amended, Check Details Here
Hyderabad, Jan 19 (Maxim News): The State government has amended the guidelines issued regarding old age pension to the spouse of Aasara old age pension beneficiary in case of death within 15 days.
The Rural Development Department issued an order to grant the pension immediately after the death of the beneficiary, along with a copy of the spouse’s Aadhaar card and death certificate. Recently, if the beneficiary’s spouse is less than 57 years of age, a widow’s pension will be granted instead of an old age pension.
It suggested that the spouse should give his Aadhaar along with the death certificate of the deceased to the panchayat Secretary in villages and to the Bill Collector in towns. The application should be forwarded to the MPDO/Municipal Commissioner as soon as these documents are received special arrangements have been made in the Aasara portal for the grant of Spouse/Widow Pension. The applications are directed to the respective authorities to be immediately sent to the District Rural Development Officer/ Directrict Collector for approval. Ordered to grant pension within 15 days of registration in the portal. It has been clarified that the grant of old age/widow pension to the spouse will continue. It has been revealed that there is no need to provide additional documents for support pension. (Maxim News)
