Acts Of Top Level Officers Shutter The Confidence Of People In System In Telangana: G.Niranjan

Hyderabad, March 26 (Maxim News): All India Congress Committee member and Sr. Vice President & Chairman, Election Commission Coordination Committee, G.Niranjan said that the illegal and unconstitutional role played by the top-level officers of the Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) is very unfortunate and shatter the confidence of the people in the system.  Earlier we used to praise the competence of Telangana police but the findings of phone tapping made the department bow their heads.

In a letter to the Chief Secretary, Shanta Kumari, and Director General of Police Ravi Gupta, the Senior Congress leader said that the Telangana police which is expected to prevent cyber-crimes resorted to cyber-crimes.  Moreover, if they damage the hard discs and throw them away, generally such things will be done by the criminals.

The SIB officials hired a house near the residence of Revanth Reddy, present Chief Minister and President of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, and had installed a device brought from Israel to record the conversations.  Such types of Israel-made devices might be required by Israel as they have been in battle with Palestine for a long period.  But what is the necessity of it for us? Moreover, it is known that it was brought without the permission of the concerned Union Home Ministry.

If this device is required for surveillance of Naxalites, then why it is installed in Hyderabad City near the residence of Revanth Reddy? These SIB officers targeted the businessmen in real estate to extort the money.  Are these people being policemen? or thugs/pirates?

One of the officers utilized the Dharani App as he liked and indulged in land grabbing.  Though the present government issued orders for changes in the Dharani Portal to mitigate public grievances this officer is creating hurdles in it.  He has enclosed the banner in today’s Andhra Prabha newspaper with the photos of Somesh Kumar, Arvind Kumar, and T. Prabhakar Rao making them responsible for misuse of power and tapping ears to Revanth’s residence.

He asked both the top most level officers of the state to see the entire administration is clean and strict warning should be given to the officers of all departments to restrain themself from malpractices and corruption in the larger interests of the people of Telangana.  (Maxim News)
