Advised Food Business Operators To Comply Strictly FSSAI Norms: Rajanarsimha 

Hyderabad, June 11 (Maxim News): Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare C. Damodar Rajanarsimha has advised the Food Business Operators (FBOs) to strictly comply with the FSSAI and other applicable norms.

Representatives from various associations of hotels, restaurants, dairy and food industry have attended a meeting with the Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare at the Secretariat today. The Commissioner of Food Safety and other officials of the department have emphasized the need for maintaining the required standards in production, distribution, storage and preparation of food items.  

The Minister has advised the Food Business Operators to strictly comply with the FSSAI and other applicable norms, and assured that the department will ensure firm implementation of the FSSAI Act and Regulations.  The Minister has also instructed the authorities to conduct state-wide workshops every 6 months to increase awareness and provide training to the various stakeholders.

The Associations have committed to extend their cooperation to the authorities in ensuring clean and healthy food in the state.   They have also agreed to collaborate with the authorities in conducting awareness programmes, training and workshops.  (Maxim News)
