AI engineers: Shaping a Brighter Future for Telangana Youth!
Hyderabad, April 7: (Maxim News): Sridhar Babu Duddilla, Minister for IT, E&C, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, visited Young India Skills University at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), Gachibowli, today. During his visit, he shared the government’s vision to position Telangana as a leading hub for highly skilled talent.
“Our government is dedicated to empowering the youth with world-class skills that meet the fast-evolving needs of industries,” the Minister said. “Through targeted training aligned with market demands, we aim to transform Telangana’s young minds into globally competitive professionals.”
He emphasized the need for ESCI to collaborate closely with key state institutions, including premier educational and research centers, TASK, and the Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana (DEET), to strengthen the state’s skill development ecosystem.
The Minister further announced an ambitious goal: “We aim to produce two lakh AI engineers from Telangana,” Sridhar Babu declared.
Earlier, representatives from Singapore, led by Consulate General Edgar Pang, paid a courtesy visit to Minister Sridhar Babu at the Secretariat. On this occasion, the Minister elaborated on the steps being taken to transform Telangana into a hub for emerging technologies. He emphasized that Telangana’s youth will be trained to seize employment opportunities in cutting-edge fields.
He also highlighted initiatives like the Future City and Young India Skills University, which are being developed with international standards to foster innovation and industry collaboration.
“Many international companies have come forward to partner with us in the Future City project. Hyderabad is fast emerging as a hub for Global Capability Centers (GCCs),” Sridhar Babu noted. “In just one year, 70 new GCCs have been launched across IT, hospitality, and other sectors.”
Highlighting balanced regional development, he added, “We are encouraging industrialists to expand to cities like Warangal and Karimnagar, rather than concentrating industries only in Hyderabad.”
He also expressed the state government’s willingness to collaborate with Singapore on technology, skill development, and various other sectors.
“Together, let’s build a future where Telangana’s youth lead the world with their skills and innovation!” the Minister concluded. (Maxim News)
