- AI ML training program targets women graduate engineers
- AI ML training program blends theory and applied learning
Hyderabad: iHub-Data at IIIT Hyderabad has launched a six-month AI ML training program aimed at women graduate engineers. The initiative focuses on early-career women who completed their engineering degrees in recent years. It mainly targets participants from Hyderabad and nearby regions. The program seeks to build advanced skills in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with a strong research orientation.
The AI ML training program offers a mix of theory and practice. Organisers said it is designed to help women engineers gain deeper knowledge and hands-on experience. Classes will take place every Monday at the IIIT Hyderabad campus. Therefore, participants will learn in a collaborative and immersive academic setting. The curriculum covers classical and modern AI and ML techniques. It also focuses on problem-solving skills useful for industry and research work.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr C K Raju, Head of Educational Programs at iHub-Data, highlighted its purpose and structure. “This program has been carefully structured to support young women engineers in achieving their career goals by integrating theory with practice. It enables participants to address complex challenges using advanced AI and ML techniques in an accessible and effective manner,” he said. He also noted that iHub–Data’s continuing education programs have shown strong outcomes in the past. Meanwhile, he added that the all-women cohort aims to promote gender equity in technology-driven workplaces.
The AI ML training program will begin in March 2026 and continue for six months. After completion, select participants will receive an additional opportunity. They will be offered a three-month online internship with iHub-Data. This internship will provide exposure to real-world projects and applied research. Therefore, participants can gain practical experience beyond classroom learning.
The application process for the AI ML training program is already open. The organisers have set the deadline as 20 February 2026. Later, selected candidates will join the program at the IIIT Hyderabad campus. The initiative reflects iHub-Data’s focus on skill development and inclusion. It also underlines efforts to prepare women engineers for advanced roles in AI and ML through structured and focused training.
