Air Force Academy Conducts Training Camp For NCC Cadets

Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad conducted a training camp for the cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Air Wing, Senior Division, and Senior Wing in coordination with Secunderabad (Air Wing) from 16 to 29 December 2024. 54 cadets from 16 NCC Directorates pan-India, including 18 girl cadets, participated in the camp.

The No-1 Telangana Air Squadron NCC, Secunderabad, coordinated the camp. In addition to Camp Training, the cadets were exposed to the ground-level functioning of the Indian Air Force through visits to various verticals under the Operations, Maintenance, and Administration departments in the Air Force Academy.

They also interacted with the trainees who had joined the IAF through the NCC entry scheme.

NCC plays a key role in the life of youth by instilling discipline, values, and leadership from an early stage.

The NCC Camp Training Programs are designed to provide first-hand exposure to the working of Indian Armed Forces operational bases so as to motivate the cadets towards actively seeking a career in the Armed Forces in service to the nation.
