Akbaruddin Owaisi inspects Deccan Park near Quli Qutub Shah Tombs
Hyderabad, Jan 16 (Maxim News): MIM Floor Leader and Chandrangutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi along with Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC Karwan MLA Kauser Mohiuddin here on Monday inspected Deccan Park near Shaikpet Quli Qutub Shah Tombs.
The GHMC is planning to develop Deccan Park near Quli Qutub Shah Tombs for the convenience of the citizens for which proposals are being taken up to provide basic minimum facilities like toilets, drinking water facilities and other civic infrastructure to be developed in a near future said Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC.
This initiative has been taken up to improve the existing system with modernized infrastructure which has been discussed with the MLAs in today’s inspection.
The Commissioner, GHMC informed that as a part of Swadeshi Darshan programme, Government of India has allocated Rs. 100 crores for overall development of 4 important structures like Qutub Shah tombs, Deccan park, Paigah tombs, Hayath Bakshi Tombs to attract Tourists to these spots. The GHMC is planning to entrust the work to Aga Khan foundation in coordination with Archeology and Tourism Department.
The above proposals were already been taken up by the Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority in the year 2013 in this context the Commissioner, GHMC said that to expedite the work the GHMC directed the Aga Khan foundation for overall development of Quli Qutub Shah Tombs with facilities like parking, interpretation centre, Amphi theatre etc., The GHMC is also planning to a special way from Deccan Park to Golconda Fort for the convenience of the citizens and tourists.
The Commissioner said that a special meeting is being planned to conduct with Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority Managing Committee where City MLAs will be the members to take up a decision for the development as suggested by the Committee Members.
Janardhan Reddy further said that the committee will be requesting Municipal Minister to take up a decision in this regard for which proposals are being taken up in this regard. (Maxim News)
